40 Calls to Action

In October 2020, Our Hearings, Our Voice published 40 Calls to Action – a blueprint for changes and improvements to the Children’s Hearings System.

The 40 Calls are a result of two years’ work by the young board members.

They are clear actions for organisations in the Children’s Hearings System and are centred around children and young people’s rights.

Now more than three years on, lots of the 40 Calls have been successfully completed or are underway. The Hearings System Working Group, its Issues List and the final recommendations of the Hearings for Children report were all mapped against our 40 Calls to Action. This helped identify where work still has to be done and OHOV will work closely with all our partners in the Children’s Hearings System to achieve all of our Calls to Action.
