Our Hearings, Our Voice would like to say a huge thank you to every child, young person and adult who took the time to share their experiences to create such a powerful and detailed review of care experiences in Scotland.
We are looking forward to delving further into the Care Review findings around the Children’s Hearings System and are so pleased to see areas that the OHOV Board Members have identified they want to develop in their roles – for example creating training programmes for Panel Members and Social Workers.
The incredible work of the Care Review gives a real mandate for us to continue to work in ways that respect children’s rights, share power and ensure infants, children and young people’s voices and experiences are truly at the centre of everything we do! The hard work starts now and we have a long way to go but we at OHOV are looking forward to playing our part to #KeepingThePromise #pinkypromise
